RiverCity Calvary Chapel is a non-denominational Christian church in affiliation with Calvary Chapel of Costa Mesa. We seek to bless God through SIMPLE WORSHIP in spirit and in truth. We trust SIMPLY in the WORD OF GOD as our roadmap to life in this complex, sinful world we live. We invite you to join us at one of our Services, currently Sundays at 9:00 am & 11:00 am and Wednesdays at 7:00 pm. How We Started & What We Believe
On October 1st 1990, by the grace of God, Rivercity Calvary Chapel officially became a church. Mike Butera Senior Pastor has been in the ministry for over twenty years, RCCC first started as a home fellowship and Bible study which grew to become Rivercity Calvary Chapel in Sacramento, California.
We are a non-denominational Christian church affiliated with Calvary Chapel of Costa Mesa, devoted to spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ and helping believers grow in their Christian faith, we believe the scriptures of the Old and New Testaments are the Word of God, fully inspired without error, the infallible rule of faith and practice. We believe God is eternally existent in three distinct persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. We believe the Holy Spirit indwells every believer in Christ and gives spiritual gifts to the church for mutual edification. He comes from the Father to convict the world of sin, righteousness, and judgment, and to regenerate, sanctify and empower for ministry all who believe in Christ.

Our Vision & Purpose
To Love...
Jesus Christ taught His disciples that the most important goal was to love God. This is number one over all other commandments, even before our service unto God. So, our vision and daily goal is to LOVE God with all our heart, and with all our soul, and with all our mind.
To Grow...
We accomplish this by growing in our knowledge of God through the reading and studying of the Bible. Jesus prayed in John chapter 17:17: "Sanctify them through thy truth: they word is truth."
To Help...
As we Love God with all our heart, we will want to GROW into the image of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, so that we can keep the two greatest commandments: "...Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.'" Matt 22:37-39 (NIV)

Directions From the North Area
From the junction of Hwy 80 and Hwy 99, take Hwy 50 East. Exit on 65 St. and stay
in the left lanes. Turn right onto Folsom Blvd. We're less than a half mile of a
mile down on the right hand side, just past the El Dorado Freeway Overpass.
Directions From the South Area
If you are coming from further south, take Hwy 99 North to Hwy 50 East toward Tahoe. From
Hwy 50 take the 65 St. and stay in the left lanes. Turn right onto Folsom Blvd. We're less
than a half mile of a mile down on the right hand side, just past the El Dorado Freeway Overpass.
